The powerful gumstix platform is ideal for Java applications. MicroDoc ported IBM's WebSphere Everyplace Micro Edition Java virtual machine to the gumstix Linux connex platform.

A certified softfloat VM with CDC/Foundation 1.0 profile will shortly be available. Upon customer demand we will provide a Personal Profile configuration that supports AWT and MicroDoc's fast and lightweight MDWidget graphics library.

For the gumstix, we will offer a starter kit that is composed of IBM WebSphere Device Developer IDE together with 50 or 100 runtime licenses for a very competitive price.
