Technology Smalltalk
MicroDoc developed a class library by the name of “Objects for Notes” – to connect Smalltalk runtime systems with Lotus Notes and Domino. The product allows for tight and efficient integration of Smalltalk systems and Lotus Domino services like document databases, e-mail, fax integration and LDAP services.

1995 IBM SWS Labs in North Carolina signed a licensing contract for the technology. MicroDoc was contracted to integrate the product into the VisualAge Smalltalk development environment.

Technology Java
MicroDoc started working on a Java based Lotus Notes integration in 1998.

In 1999 MicroDoc sigend a contract with the IBM Toronto Lab in Canada and contributed also to the development of the VisualAge for Java product.
