One of the top 10 IT service suppliers in Europe develops and operates applications on behalf of their 200 banking customers. Their next generation application infrastructure is mainly targeted towards Web – application development and is the backbone for every newly developed solution.
Because of the size and complexity of this environment, the customers developed a proprietary Portal solution which overcomes most of the limitations of standard products, like deployment and application coupling.
MicroDoc reviewed the core components of this framework to make sure, that SLA requirements are met and with special focus on low memory requirements, deadlock prevention and backend performance.
The customer and MicroDoc were very successful in identifying potential problems like database/Java deadlocks and optimizing specific features like more efficient caches. Today this infrastructure successfully carries more than 50 applications and serves more than 100.000 users.
