Customized WEME platform for handheld devices in logistics and retail
Aldata Retail Solutions GmbH offers customer oriented, performance and quality assurance solutions for retail, industry and logistics providers with the standard software package Aldata G.O.L.D.

The customer needed a personal configuration to run on a “naked” WinCE 4.2 .net device (Intermec CK 30). The WEME runtime Version 2.2 did not support WinCE without Pocket PC 2003 at that time.

A few changes to the native DLLs for SWT and some work on the class libraries helped to allow Aldata to run the AWT based application on the device. The project was finished within 4 working days from MicroDoc’s side. Additional consulting was provided for UI programming (kiosk mode, event handler etc.)
Thanks to the support from MicroDoc, Aldata went into production with 20 units for a national mineral water company three days after signing our License Agreement for OEM licenses.
